About this room

Premier Room at Sagar Darshan

For most pilgrims a room is a place to rest between darshans, and the Premier Room is planned around exactly that. It has two beds, running hot water and the same view of the sea as every other room in the guest house. It is the room to book if you want to be close to the temple and the shore without paying for more space than you need.

Being on Somnath Mandir Road means the temple is about 400 m away. A simple day here looks like this: walk over for the 7:00 AM aarti, rest in the room through the middle of the day, then return for the 7:00 PM aarti and the Jay Somnath light and sound show at 7:45 PM. The pure vegetarian restaurant downstairs is open until 11:00 PM, so dinner after the show is easy.

Who it suits

Couples, two friends travelling together, or a parent and grown child on a short pilgrimage of one or two nights. If you are three, an extra bed can be added for an extra charge; a child above 10 years counts as an extra person.

Good to know

Honest notes before you book

  • Tariffs and deposits are taken from the public Shree Somnath Trust pages and are indicative. Please confirm them when you book.
  • The Trust's notes do not mention air conditioning or room sizes. If either matters to you, ask the reception about the specific room.
  • Hot water is solar heated. If you need it at a particular hour, mention it at the reception.
  • Temple timings can change on festival days. Check at the reception before you set out for an aarti.
  • If you are comparing with the Super Deluxe Room, the difference is the category and ₹400 a night. The view and the walk to the temple are the same.
  • The photographs on this page are licensed stock images used for illustration, not pictures of this room.
